En los \u00faltimos 8 a\u00f1os ha trabajado como Arquitecto Senior HPC en Silicon Graphics, IBM y Lenovo.<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"pdf\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/igeniumc.cat.mialias.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/unnamed-file.pdf.png\" width=\"30\" height=\"30\" \/>\u00a0<br \/>\n<a title=\"iGenium'15. Mientras que la capacidad de c\u00e1lculo de los sistemas en el Top 10 ha incrementado una media de 1,9 veces al a\u00f1o, el consumo el\u00e9ctrico lo ha hecho en 1,2. El consumo de los supercomputadores m\u00e1s potentes ha alcanzado los 10 MW y sigue creciendo, por lo que el gran consumo de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica ha pasado a ser uno de los problemas m\u00e1s destacados de estos sistemas.<\/p>\n<p>En un contexto marcado por el incremento del precio de la energ\u00eda y las pol\u00edticas de protecci\u00f3n del medio ambiente, se acepta que el consumo sostenible de los futuros supercomputadores debe ser de 1 a 20 MW y, en ning\u00fan caso, sobrepasarlo. Es por eso que la comunidad que trabaja con supercomputadoras tiene como uno de sus principales retos incrementar la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica de este tipo de sistemas.<\/p>\n<p>Uno de los principales actores del sector, Lenovo, se centra en la investigaci\u00f3n de dise\u00f1o de nuevo hardware, mejoras en la tecnolog\u00eda de alimentaci\u00f3n y refrigeraci\u00f3n y en software de gesti\u00f3n del consumo para mejorar la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p>Repartir las tareas de la supercomputadora es uno de los principales campos de estudio de la compa\u00f1\u00eda. En este caso, Lenovo colabora con la universidad de Munich. Se busca la m\u00e1xima eficiencia de cada parte de la m\u00e1quina para, a su vez, colaborar a un menor calentamiento general.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan los datos conseguidos en los estudios de Lenovo, puede conseguirse un ahorro de un 6% del consumo el\u00e9ctrico.
